Welcome to North Boulder

Over the past few years, there has been significant growth in Boulder’s northern section, known as NoBo. This is an area of Boulder that offers newer and larger homes and condos. New parks, new stores and restaurants mix well with the eclectic feel of this neighborhood. The surroundings provide spectacular views of the Foothills/Dakota Ridge while creating a fresh feel of established neighborhoods. North Boulder is highly desirable with its own local merchants and it’s still within a few-minute car drive to Pearl St.
 
There are 5 major neighborhoods in the area that create North Boulder.
 
Wonderland Hills:
The Wonderland Hills real estate market is home to a nice variety of condos, townhouses, and single-family homes set along quiet residential streets at the base of the Rocky Mountain Foothills. Wonderland Hills real estate is ideal for those looking for the feel of mountain living, but need to be within easy reach of Downtown Boulder. The North Boulder community features mature trees, lazy hillsides, and beautiful views of Wonderland Lake and the mountains. Close by are Pearl Street Mall, the North Boulder Rec Center, and the neighborhoods of Northbriar and Dakota Ridge.
 
Northbriar:
Northbriar Estates is a medium-sized subdivision near Dakota Ridge, along the Boulder foothills in the northwest section of the city. Northbriar is served by the Dakota Ridge Neighborhood Association, which monitors development in the area and encourages responsible growth.
 
Homes in the Northbriar real estate market were built in the 1990s and many of which were custom-built. Houses in Northbriar Estates have excellent views of the foothills and are close to Boulder’s famed trail network, as well as Wonderland Lake and its resident wildlife.
 
Dakota Ridge:
In northern Boulder, tucked up against the foothills is Dakota Ridge Village, a new upscale residential neighborhood with quick access to Boulder’s famed hiking and biking trails. The Dakota Ridge real estate area is fairly quiet and family-friendly, with plenty of green space and views of the mountains and valleys. The heart of the neighborhood is the local park which has an elaborate style of playground equipment, which makes it a great place to socialize.
 
Moores:
Moores is one of the city’s more well-established and upscale neighborhoods. Located in the northern section of Boulder near Uptown Broadway, Moores is home to nearly 900 people that including single-family homes with large plots of land as well as vacant lots for sale. Homes tend to be priced on the higher end of the scale, though there are a variety of older homes in Moores, tucked away on tree-lined streets. The neighborhood is mature and a large number of the homes have been renovated extensively. There are many tear downs and complete remodels in the area, which has brought fresh new energy to the landscape.
 
Holiday:
A new mixed-use development in the north end of the city, the North Broadway – Holiday neighborhood has live/work homes, townhouses, condos, and commercial properties available. The area features a colorful collection of architectural styles that highlight the urban, fun, and friendly vibe of the neighborhood. There are public plazas and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, as well as an abundance of street-side shops and services. Close by there are hiking and biking trails, parkland, and an excellent transit service that goes straight to Downtown Boulder.
